The Union Community Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Ann Angermeier as its first Executive Director, effective July 1, 2026.

The appointment represents a significant step forward in the Foundation's continued growth and development. As the Foundation's first Executive Director, Angermeier will provide leadership by advancing the organization's mission of connecting charitable resources with community needs while expanding opportunities for philanthropy and community investment.

Born and raised in Union County, Angermeier has deep roots in the community where she will now serve as the organization's chief executive officer. A graduate of Union High School, USC Union and Converse College, she is recognized as a valued community ambassador and played an instrumental role in the development of the Union Community Foundation in 2006. Her knowledge of the community, passion for service, and commitment to fostering local philanthropy makes Angermeier uniquely qualified to lead the Foundation into its next chapter.

“The Board of Directors is thrilled to welcome Ann as our first Executive Director,” said Board Chair, Kathy Jo Lancaster. “Her deep connection to Union County, commitment to serving others and understanding of the Foundation's mission, positions her well to expand our ability to serve the people and communities of Union County.”

In her role, Angermeier will work closely with donors, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and residents to strengthen charitable giving, support local initiatives, and further the Foundation's vision of creating lasting opportunities and impact for future generations.

“I am truly honored to serve as the first Executive Director of the Union Community Foundation. Having been involved in the Foundation's development from its early days, I am excited to help lead this next chapter of growth. Working alongside our Board, donors, and community partners, we will continue building a strong culture of philanthropy that supports meaningful opportunities and lasting impact throughout Union County,” said Angermeier.

Established in 2006, the Union Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Union County by encouraging philanthropy, managing charitable funds, and supporting initiatives that address community needs and opportunities.
