Union County, South Carolina
Building a Union County that is self-sufficient and thriving.
The Union Community Foundation invests in the people, places, and ideas that make Union County stronger — connecting generous neighbors with the causes that need them, and turning charitable gifts into lasting good.
Our mission
“We serve as the foundation for philanthropy and prosperity in Union County.”
What we do
One foundation, three ways to strengthen Union County.
We steward charitable funds
Individuals, families, and organizations entrust gifts to the Foundation, where they are invested and grow over time — so their generosity keeps giving back to Union County for years to come.
We make grants
The Foundation puts those resources to work, funding the local projects and organizations doing meaningful work across the county.
We can be your fiscal sponsor
Have a good idea but no 501(c)(3) of your own? The Foundation can serve as a fiscal sponsor, so your effort can accept charitable gifts and get off the ground.

Since 2006
A local foundation, in its 20th year.
The Union Community Foundation began in 2006 with a single, community-minded gift — a $1 million endowment from the City of Union. Twenty years later, it stewards roughly 20 charitable funds and makes grants across the county, guided by a volunteer board and a new strategic plan.
Our vision
Union County is self-sufficient and thriving.
Your part in the story
